So I was reading Kim Kardashian’s surrogate story and they are having a boy. (They had 1 make embryo left? )My question is I though male sperm picked gender? How can they tell if it’s a boy or girl?

I think u confused an egg with an embryo. Embryos are fertilized, eggs are not.

Kims surrogate is also due in like 2-3 months so even if they didn’t know the gender before the surrogate was pregnant they would know by now

An embryo is what it becomes when the sperm has fertilized the egg. So that has already occurred, then chromosomes have been determined and then it’s either used or frozen. They had one remaining embryo left (frozen) they used it.

Maybe because an embryo has a gender already, since it happens right at conception and an embryo is fertilized already
