Why are some of the mamas saying we still have a lot of “time” to prepare for baby ? I don’t know about you ladies but I have 57 days left until my due date and that’s not including the fact that I can very well give birth earlier than that since I had both of my kids at 38 weeks and 37 weeks so it’s not a lot of time at all lol I’m so glad I’m DONE! Baby boy has EVERYTHING he needs now I can just sit back and enjoy the rest of my pregnancy and wait for my baby boy to make his arrival it felt like yesterday I just got my first positive and I’ll be having my baby in 8 weeks or less 😱

That’s what I’m saying!!! We have like nothing and our baby shower isn’t for a whole other month. She could literally come anytime in March and I would not be prepared 🙄 my SO won’t let me buy anything to even feel slightly prepared

Not to mention the more along we get the more awkward/difficult it is for us to do stuff for ourselves like washing and hanging clothing in preparation etc. I’m definitely a do things earlier kind of girl. Time has not dragged for me AT all thus far :/ I could relax if I still had everything to be done... argh.

The nesting urge is a real thing, and it often begins early in the third trimester for many women. I think this is built into us for a reason. Premature babies can survive one two or even three months premature! Even that aside, some of us end up with medical issues, or extreme exhaustion, etc etc, a few weeks before giving birth. Some are put on bed rest. And then that's just going to cause a lot of anxiety when we can't get to all the things we have thought we could get to a few weeks before our due date. So telling a pregnant mother, to go against her instinct and her desire to start preparing for baby early, is just wrong.
It shouldn't be up to mother-in-law, significant other, or internet strangers to tell us when we should start taking care of those nesting urges, or whether or not we should be feeling nervous about how prepared we are.

Word!!! Preparation is how I’ve calmed my anxiety down for our first baby!  48 days left until due date and all I have left to do is finish my premade meals for the freezer.  February is literally sitting back and relaxing before baby comes.... baby shower at the beginning of February is for basically non essentials and money for baby’s educational fund as we already have everything.... and if he comes early then so be it, we’re ready 110%!

I know what you mean. Im 33 weeks this Saturday and I had my second child at 34 weeks so anytime is possible really! 🤷🏻‍♀️ people have said there’s plenty of time but I’m glad I got everything ready just incase. I’m literally just waiting for the big day now

I agree with you. Doesn’t seem too long but my husband acts like their is plenty of time. I can guarantee there is going to be stuff that does not get done at our house!

I feel ya . We are ready and just relaxing now. My due date is March 8 but we have to prepare for his arrival anywhere between February 18 which is around the corner ! And no later than March 1!

I have a toddler so we already have a lot of what we need. We just need some more newborn outfits, formula, and diapers. We plan on getting the formula and diapers on the way home from the hospital because it feels like bad luck to have those before they’re really needed...

I get same day delivery from prime a few times a week so I’m not worried about having all of my ducks in a row when little arrives. Perk of living in a big city. But also, trying to be a little more minimalist in my life because I’m so sick of stuff.
