Getting nexplanon😁

I’m getting the nexplanon this week after 9 months of the pill. Has anyone gotten pregnant while having nexplanon in them? My gyno said shes never experienced that with any of her patients. I really dont need a kid rn so should I use a condom too? Its as effective as getting your tubes tied so it seems unneccesary.
