I accidentally skipped two active pills, I’ve been taking them correctly again but never made up for the two missed pills. I’m in my first week (been on the pill 6/7 months now) and I’m now experiencing spotting/light bleeding.

I had unprotected sex all week leading up to me skipping the two & no protection was used other than the pill.

Does the breakthrough bleeding make the pill ineffective ? Also is there a chance of pregnancy ? (I know there’s always a chance).

Or is it all still working and I’m just randomly bleeding??
