Can you use diaper rash cream at every diaper change even if baby has no rash?

I use aquaphor as a barrier. Especially at night since he will be in a pee diaper for a while. If I notice redness, I always use desitin just to get rid of it before it gets to the point of a rash. Don’t let other people make you feel dumb.

Do not use diaper rash cream every time, it will be less effective on a rash. Use something as a barrier like Vaseline every time for prevention. Use something non medicated.

Pretty sure I’ve used rash cream only once and it was after bub hadn’t pooped for 6 days then when he finally did his anus looked a little red and sore from getting everything out. He’s 12 weeks old and hasn’t had any need for it apart from that one time.

I never do and we haven’t had any diaper rashes so far and just turnes 12 weeks
EBF and I don’t let her sit in a dirty diaper for long

My sons Dr said that it was a good idea to regularly use a barrier since he was getting rashes regularly from pooping so often. It won’t hurt them. But also Vasoline as a barrier is helpful

I was in the begining but now I just change his nappy every 2 hours or so and out cream on for bed because he sleeps 8-12 hours so just to prevent I use water wipes and pure nappies tho
