What were you doing when you went into Labor?

Feel free to explain more in the comments. I’m 39+3 now and staying active but nothing is working.

I woke up around 3 am feeling crampy and couldnt get comfortable enough to go back to sleep. Contractions for me just felt tense until about an hour before I started pushing, then they started to get painful. Anyway, just as a joke I started timing the tense feelings. 8 minutes apart, 7.., 6..., 5 for over an hour, and my midwife said 4 or more "painful" contractions to come in and get checked, well my husband didnt want to go on this stupid run for his unit so when he woke up I explained it to him, told him wed probably just get sent home in an hour (lol nope). Well we go in get monitored for an hour and go to discharge me but first they want to do a cervix check and my gsb swab (I was 36+3) well they felt her head real low and couldnt reach my cervix which they made faces about and that made me anxious. Well another nurse comes in because she had "longer fingers" she legit dug for my cervix I was 2 CM and like 80%. Well I get up to do the swab and leave and there was more blood than just spotting. I knew spotting was normal, but not a pool of blood so I tell me triage nurse who gets my midwife and tells me to get back on the bed, monitored for another hour and my midwife checked me herself 4 CM and 100% so I got admitted and 15 hours after that she was here. So about 17 hours total.

I walked from the living room to the bathroom, and my water just broke in the hallway. 
But don’t stress baby will come, you still have potentially a week or two left, and it’s still considered normal.

I was in bed and felt a massive POP - waters breaking but no fluid leaking because baby’s fat head in the way. Eight hours later it gushed and I was painting when contractions started an hour after that. 
Finally finished my canvas when baby was 12 weeks old haha! No time before that!

I put "sleeping" only because I was in bed and it was the middle of the night. I was never actually able to sleep through the contractions, so at 5am we went to the hospital, and at 11am my baby was born. :)
