Breastfeeding while pregnant

Anyone else still breastfeeding and pregnant? My daughter is almost 15 months and I’m 6wks pregnant. I still nurse at night and in the morning. My nurse says this is totally fine and if we were nursing more she’d tell me to try weaning by the 2nd trimester. Just wondering if there’s anyone else in the same boat and how long you plan to go. I’m not even sure how to start weaning and figured I’d follow her lead. I enjoy that time with her.

Hi! We are at the same with my 15m baby girld. She nurses at night, is easier (for me and for her) to fall asleep. But I’m thinking to wean soon.

I’m 29!weeks and still breastfeeding. The first few weeks were rough because my nipples were so sensitive but once second trimester hit I was fine. I plan on tandem nursing unless my first decides to wean

It was definitely mind over matter for me those few weeks. It’s when most women decide if they want to continue to breastfeed or not and that’s what makes the success

I’m in the sensitive nipple stage right now but powering through it. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I’m 22 weeks and still bf my 20mo. She was feeding maybe 4 times a day and minimum 4 times a night. Unfortunately around 19 weeks my nursing aversion got really bad, its at its worst at night and when im tired, so ive started night weaning her and only feed her before 10pm and after 5am. Its surprisingly gone really well, if she was struggling eith it i couldnt have done it but shes been doing amazing. She sometimes feeds a few more times in the day now.Interesting that your midwife said she would get you to try wean in 2nd trimester if you were feeding more, mine has never asked how often we feed and has only said how helpful toddlers are with engorgement.

I’m 13 weeks and my almost 15-month-old has been nursing until just a few days ago. It’s totally safe, mine just dried up and she didn’t seem to mind weaning.

Me! My little girl is 15 months and I'm 19 weeks pregnant with baby#3. She only nurses at naps and a few times during the night. She's not really doing it for nourishment, just mainly comfort. I'm trying to wean her, but she far this hasn't been successful. I'd like a break before the new baby gets here in June. So far I've had no problems with nursing and being pregnant.

Thanks for the reply! I think my daughter is doing it for the comfort too! I’m happy to see there are other women further along in their pregnancy and still nursing. Glad I’m not alone!

Im almost 26 weeks pregnant and still nursing my 2 year old. She only nurses about 2 3 times a day. I'm practically dried up though so im figuring she'll wean herself soon. If not she gets booted when her little brother comes lol
