How do you deal with cravings that give you heartburn?

So I’ve been really enjoying raspberry lemonade. But the first sip gives me heartburn. I want it so bad that it’s worth the heartburn but I just learned if I take tums before I drink it, I never get heartburn!! How do you deal with it??

Tums for me, too. I am eating a lot of oranges these days. Good for vitamins, bad for heartburn. But it kind of seems like no matter what I eat I still get heartburn. God bless Tums.

I was told to try papaya enzyme pills

Eating fresh papaya has helped me tremendously this pregnancy. With my first I was on heartburn meds everyday, this time around I’ve changed my diet and have become strictly vegan, it is so much better since most animal products are acidic. Try using digestive enzymes too, they’ve helped me as well.

I don't get heartburn (so far!) but maybe milk or something alkaline could help balance things out.

I keep tums with me 24/7 and if I eat something I think will Give me heart burn I take one or two

I LOVE chocolate but for some reason during this pregnancy it’s given me the worst heartburn ever 😭😭😭😭 sometimes I’ll just suffer thru it but I’ve stopped eating it like i use to... I’m so sad tho 😭😭😭
