Sweep?

Anybody had a sweep yet, I’m seeing my midwife today and I don’t know whether to book in for one or not? Does it hurt?

I had two my last pregnancy. Second one worked 24 hours after.
I'm getting one on the 29th. I'd get one this coming week except my ob is out all week on vacation. I'm cool waiting a little longer.

Depends on how far along you are. Usually they won’t do this if you’re not dialed. I got it done with my first and nothing happened just uncomfortable and I got more false labor contractions and still didn’t have him for another 2 weeks which made me have him at 41 weeks.

I found it uncomfortable on my 1st. I had it done on a Thursday and went into labour Friday and had my daughter on the Saturday. If I need one I'll get one on this baby. But the hse won't do it until closer to my due date.

Depends on who does it. Shouldn’t hurt that bad. I’ve had a few in previous pregnancy’s

It doesn't hurt it's just uncomfortable, no harm in trying if it'll avoid you being induced

It’s hurts... bad. I had one with my last to try and help labor move along without inducing.  She did a VERY aggressive sweep just before 38 weeks and told me I would probably be in labor that night... my water didn’t break for another 4 days.

It hurts but not as much as labor. With my first it totally worked, but I was already past my due date. You should be somewhat dilated and effaced at least when you have it, otherwise it probably won’t have any effect.
