my daughter will be 2 weeks on Saturday, I got a call from her doctor yesterday saying there was an abnormality with one of the genes on the blood test they did in the hospital when she was born. He said that she has the gene that causes a person to have Cystic Fibrosis, and based on her gene she’s at moderate risk for having the actual disease. We have to go to the Children’s Hospital to do a sweat test and more blood work. We’re praying that she’s just a carrier and doesn’t have CF. My whole pregnancy I was so scared something would be wrong and now my biggest fear is coming true. I just want to put her back in my belly where she was safe & sound. If anyone has had experience with this or just wants to boost this mommas spirits feel free 😩 I’m freaking out. A life spent in the hospital is the last thing I want for my baby girl, I don’t want her to suffer through this her whole life...
