When did you ladies have your first ultrasound?

So yesterday I had my first appointment. My doctor said I will come back in 4 weeks to hear the heartbeat, but I won’t have my first ultrasound until 10-13 weeks 😭. I’m just wondering why so far from now?? I’m 6 weeks and 1 day as of today. I’m just really upset that I have to wait that long 😞. I know every doctor is different, when did you guys get your first ultrasound?

I have my first one scheduled at 9 weeks on February 1st. It feels like it’s soooo far away 😩

Mine will be at 12 weeks. Which sucks because I hate waiting... lol. But I kinda like it too because then we actually get to see a baby and not a little jelly bean.😊 my first ultrasound with my daughter was at like 5.6/6weeks and there wasnt really much to see... so I kinda prefer waiting a little while.

I had my first ultrasound today at 7 weeks. I was spotting a few days ago and had very high hcg so my Dr wanted to rule out abnormalities. My last pregnancy was a miscarriage so they have been monitoring me more closely to make sure everything is going well.

I have an appointment on Monday and I am not sure what they will be doing. Using my LMP I’ll be 7 weeks, but using my calculated ovulation I’ll only be 5 weeks 5 days. My clinic will not see patients until 7-8 weeks. I am excited and rather nervous. When I made the appointment the receptionist said they may or may not do an ultrasound (she also seemed kinda clueless as to what actually happens during the appointments). One of my best friends is the manager of the obgyn clinic I use so she normally handles everything for me about my appointments, but we are keeping this situation under wraps and a secret. I do intend on telling her later that the receptionist needs to be able to answer these types of questions when people ask. Haha

I’m in Canada, and if there are no issues / worries about dating the pregnancy then you don’t get one until 20 weeks. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I don’t even see my dr until 10 weeks, so my ultrasound will certainly be after that if I get one before 20 weeks.

With my son not until 18w although I had heard the heartbeat at 12w. With this one I want to do a dating scan by 8w, they got my sons due date way wrong last time so I’m not taking chances this time around.
