So I know I'm at a high risk of having an ectopic pregnancy and currently having a lot of pain in lower right abdomen. Waiting on further test results and scan booking in. My question is, if you had an ectopic did you always get a positive pregnancy test? I had a very odd period last month and lots of my usual pregnancy symptoms this month (plus af is late) but all negative tests, just want a bit of insight into this to put my mind at ease. Dr just shrugged it off as well if u were pregnant it'd show up on a test 🤷🤷

We are ttc which is why I'm obviously concerned about its possibility. I've never had an ectopic no, I've had same symptoms that I've had with previous pregnancies so felt I could be pregnant and it not showing up for whatever medical reason (I wasn't sure if hcg wouldn't increase at same rate or anything if stuck) anyway I've got shoulder pain aswell as slight fever etc but Dr also thinks there's a problem with liver aswell as lower problem area. I have had a history of cysts aswell so possibly that?!

Just wanted a personal reassurance that it would show up on a urine test.

Dr hasn't done bloods specifically for that (UK so lucky I even got to see a Dr so quickly) will just hope pain doesn't get worse in meantime 🤞 thanks ladies x
