First night away post baby?

Excited for babe but also looking forward to our first night post baby. Due April22nd, think will have csection April 15th. May 24th will be our 5 year wedding anniversary. Too soon for a night away? First night away with #1 was about 2 months.

Definitely personal preference of when you feel ready. Took me 12 months but then I was exclusively breastfeeding till then so harder to escape for a night!

I know it’s personal preference but there’s absolutely no way I could. My daughter is 19 months and I’ve still never spent a night away from her. She’s really not a great sleeper and won’t go to bed for anyone other than me or my husband. I would be wayyyyy too distracted thinking about if she was ok.

Would be too soon for me. If your breastfeeding it’s hard to have to wake up throughout the night to pump while your away. I would wait until 3-6mo range to do a night away, personally

No real advice because we didn’t do our first night away until about 9 months, but my anniversary is May 23rd! We’ll be celebrating 4 years. I do hope we can celebrate, maybe finally open the bottle of wine we put away at the wedding - I was pregnant on our first anniversary, at my best friends wedding for our second, and in the hospital with my daughter for our third so we haven’t had a chance to open the bottle yet! Maybe this year!!

I was at bike week, on my bike a week after I delivered lmfao, sorry kid but me and my husband go every year 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣, we only stayed one night though.

Would have been too soon for me due to exclusive breast feeding till he was about 3 months and I went back to work. Also started going out without the baby around that time.
My first whole night away wasn’t until after a year when I was totally done breast feeding but that was a personal preference.  Do what you feel comfortable ☺️

I also agree with personal preference but One thing our nurse told us is how important it is to take date nights after baby is born for the sake of the relationship! I don’t think it would be too soon! You shouldn’t feel guilty about that I think it’s really just as important. Also I think it’s healthy to try to prevent that separation anxiety early on!
