Crib training

Does anyone have tips on how to get my 6 month old to sleep in his crib after sleeping in bed with me? He did fantastic until he was 4 months old. We went through hurricane Michael and had to leave with hardly anything and he started sleeping with me and my husband but now that our hkuse is getting repaired and we have his crib back I can’t get him to sleep in his crib working a fit and banging his head on the railings. Is cry it out method good or will I break his trust with me?
