You know, sometimes I see videos of cops shooting someone and I'm like 'well that did they expect' ... No this was blatant murder and so hard to watch. It's a absolutely crazy to me that it's possible he got such little time.

After watching the video I don’t agree with his actions what so ever. The kid wasn’t even walking toward him. Had the kid been running at him with the knife, the shots would have been justified. Cops are trained to shoot to kill not wound. In this situation, he never should have shot in the first place because the threat was minimal. I really don’t know what lead to this or the story about this so just based on the footage that is my opinion. He should have gotten longer.

Watched the video. One of the saddest parts is, as dispatch is calling for someone to respond they're asking if anyone has a taser. obviously that would have been a better choice in this situation, the kid only had a knife. So sad.

How’d he only get 6 years for second degree murder and 16 counts of aggravated battery?
Like, from what I’ve read, it’s 4 - 20 years, and there’s no way he deserves to be on the minimum side of the sentencing.
