periods and the implant

i’ve had my implant in for 7 months. the first 7 i had no periods what so ever and now i’ve just gotten one.

i googled it and it said after a year or two you can get periods due to the implant releasing less of the hormone it releases but i’ve only had it for 7 months.

my boyfriend leaned on my arm a bit a few days before my period and i was concerned that he broke my implant but it isn’t bent and it feels normal and doesn’t hurt so idk what’s up with that.

if anyone can help me out that’d be great. my main aim is to avoid having a baby 👍🏻
