TTC after stillbirth

I had a stillbirth on 12/23/18

My heart aches. I cannot see a baby boy without crying. I was 25 weeks when I lost him. The week before I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. They have ran many tests and my doctor has found nothing abnormal that could have caused the stillbirth. The conclusion I came up with was perhaps my weight and the gestational diabetes was a factor. I’m 5’3 and I was 240 pounds when I gave birth to my baby. In my previous pregnancies I was always at a healthy weight. I’m now 217lbs. I’m on a strict keto diet and I do body Combat 3 days a week and yoga 3 days a week. As much as I would like to get pregnant right away I refuse to get pregnant overweight. I have 76lbs left to lose to get to my goal weight. Once I get there I will try again. My husband doesn’t have any kids of his own and I really want him to experience fatherhood to his own baby. Wish me luck!

I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine how hard that must have been. Don't blame yourself, chances are, it had nothing to do with your weight or the GD. However, it's incredible that you've lost so much weight! Working on your health is always a wonderful idea, especially for a reason as selfless as creating a child. Good luck! The ketogenic diet changed my life for sure.

I am sorry for your loss, I had a miscarriage last August and I keep thinking that my weight contributed to my miscarriage, I was 210lbs and I just started my weightloss journey too, I hope I can shed some weight before conceiving again, I wish us all the best.
