Name spellings.
Unpopular opinion apparently, but I don't see how spelling a name differently than it's original version makes it any more unique than the regularly spelled one. It's still the same exact name, it's the same popularity as before, it's just spelled unconventionally. And if it's high on then popularity lists you're not avoiding your kid being the fourth kid in their grade with the same name. It can also make names hard to pronounce without seriously looking at the name. Trying to understand it but I just don't. It all sounds the same when you say it out loud in a classroom or workplace so is it really any different? Husband brought up the topic and I couldn't give him an answer about why it's so popular either.
