When will i get real contractions?!?!?

I went to the doctor at 37 weeks 1 day and was told i was dialated to a 3 and this morning 37 weeks 3 days i lost my mucus plug ive tryed walking spicy food dancing squats pressure points nothing is doing anything i feel frustrated

I don't even get my first dialation check till next week at 38 weeks. Doc says it is a wast of time and it's unnecessary to make me uncomfortable when it doesn't tell ya much especially for first baby

You’ll get them when you go into labor, dilation is no indication of when that will happen though. You could be a 3 for weeks. You might be having them and just not feel it.

I would have to walk 2 miles to kick start contractions but by then I’d be too tired to continue walking so the contractions would stop
