Eating too much?

My 4 day old was nursing every 2-3 hours at first but since yesterday he’s been wanting to eat every 1 - 1/2 and sometimes twice in an hour, 10 mins a session. Earlier he ate for 20 mins after nursing an hour earlier for 10 mins. Is this normal? I know his belly is so tiny right now and don’t want his tummy to be upset and him be extra fussy due to it

Yep he’s clusterfeeding to up your supply. Completely normal. They tend to clusterfeed every time they have a growth spurt. A baby will not overeat at the breast (but will with a bottle just for future knowledge). Nursing also isn’t just about the milk.

A breastfed baby cant be over fed 😊 let him feed as often as he likes as he may be about to have a growth spurt or is trying to increase your milk supply.

Mine was the same way in the beginning. Had to be latched to my boobs at all times,
I thought he’d never get full! A lot of it was cluster feeding and he’s gotten much better now at 6 weeks old. Some of it also may not even be to eat necessarily but doing it for comfort.
