When did you start building a relationship with SO family

How far into your relationship with your SO did you begin to also build a relationship with their family?
I want to begin getting to know my potential sister in-law but idk how or where to start.

I honestly met my husband whole family the day we married when we went to city hall. He has a HUGE family but they exchanged numbers with me and ask to add me on Facebook and every time they had an event they invited me. When trying to build a relationship with your sister in law start out with finding out what she likes or what she’s into maybe that can give you ideas to bond over and to talk things out you know. Help you guys unwind. I took my husband sister who help raised him get a massage and nails and feet done 💕 she calls me more than him 😂 and tells me I’m her favorite

I see all these other comments and i am quite surprised lol i met my bf family like 3 weeks after we started talking. We weren't even dating yet... i helped them move  haha

Well his sister gave birth on December 16, 2016 and we started dating August 21, 2016. She called me and wanted me in the delivery room with her. So pretty fast lol. I’m not as close with his brother since he lives 6 hours away, but I absolutely adore all his nieces and nephews

He met my family 3 months in, it was Easter. 
I met his parents 2 months later, they live an airplane ride away. I feel like his mom and I just clicked and we started texting about random things almost right away. Then the next time they visited we were comfortable to do things just us girls and the guys did their thing. He’s an only child and spent a lot of time with his mom as a kid while his dad went to school and worked. He’s an only child, so I didn’t have siblings to meet.
Him and my sister get along ok, but would never hang out 1 v 1. She helped him plan our engagement and picked out my gorgeous ring. She’s a few years younger than me and still single so I feel like we are at an awkward stage right now and once she’s in a relationship we will all hang out

I met my mans family quickly and let me tell you... I wish I never had 😂😂😂😂😂 but usually if your relationship is serious and you live nearby, you should meet each other families pretty quickly 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was 16 when we started dating, so I was over at his family home all the time so it just happened. His sister is only a year younger than I am so we get along great. He has a great family so it was easy to get close to them.
