Is it okay to take a 7 month old to Florida for vacation?

My husbands family (parents, aunts and uncles, and cousins) invited us to go to with them to Florida the first week of September. Our son will only be 7 months old. My fear is the long car ride and the heat/ sun exposure. My husband and I are both very fair skinned and burn easily even with sun block so I’m assuming our son will also burn easily (he’s not born yet). What do you guys think? Would you go or hold off until the baby is older?

Sunscreen, a hat, long sleeved swim shirts, a baby beach tent. Yes... go! Both my boys loved the beach at young ages.

Sunscreen. Hat. Umbrella for shade. And some cool water. We took my 6 month old to the lake and he swam for a bit then sat with my parents in the shade.

Yes! We took my son when he just turned 5 months!!

We took my son to the beach when he was 2 weeks old and then again at 2 months. 7 months is a prefect again. Use a lot of sunscreen, hats, and you could even get a long sleeve swim top. I’m fair skinned as well and my son hasn’t had an issue yet. Even when we went to the Bahamas last June. Just have fun! 😊
