anyone else?!

is anyone else worried that they'll labor at home too long (or just won't know what's happening) that they won't make it to the hospital on time and it'll be too late for the epidural?! I literally keep thinking about this and my anxiety is sky rocketing over it 😭 I'm a ftm.

Try not to think about it too much first time births  are usually long ! With my first my water broke at 5am supposedly only 1 in 10 woman’s waters break naturally well anyways me and my husband panicked we didn’t know when to leave the house because I wasn’t having contractions but we lived over an hour away from the hospital and didn’t want to be turned away... I let my husband nap and I was in the living room trying to time my contractions but they still felt all over the place.. THREE hours later we finally went to the hospital and I was contracting in the car  pretty steady at that point but I didn’t end up having my baby until 3pm later that day and some will consider that a short labor ! Only 10 hours but still that’s plenty of time to make it to the hospital.. I was already at 5cm when I got to the hospital and then they made me finish an iv bag before giving me the epidural so at that time I was nearly at a 7 . You’ll be fine !

I’m 37 and 5. And I’ve felt Braxton Hicks now and all the pre labour back pain and period crampy feeling pain. Obviously
My bodies preparing. But I’m wondering how do u tell the difference between This and real labour? I didn’t feel anything to time when I felt it last time even tho it hurt for 3 hours last time I had bh. Worried I won’t know what I’m feeling 😬 ftm. I’m often feeling a lot of pressure like I can’t tell if I need to poop as well. During the day or if I have bh. 😩

This is my second so I want to try to stay home longer this time  my first daughter my water broke at 3am they had us come in right away we we were there by around 3:45-4isham had to go on pitocin because I wasn’t progressing around 1pm and my daughter didn’t come till 11:10pm

Yes! I’m a FTM and I want to labor at home for as long as I can but I’m also scared I’ll wait too long and be stuck lol
