Baby #2?

I know a lot of October ‘16 moms have expanded their family by now but we’ve just started trying for baby #2! We are super excited/nervous. Anyone else ready for baby #2 or #3? How is life with more than one little one?

I feel like I could be ready some days and other days the idea of there being more than just one seems impossible to handle. Lol.

Our second is due in 6 weeks. My son loves to rub my belly and tell the baby "Hi!" He is also getting really clingy, which makes me nervous. I'm worried about my ability to handle a newborn and a toddler. We are lucky that my husband can take 4 weeks of family leave, but when he goes back to work, he is gone 12 hours a day and 1-2 nights a week. I do not have any family/friends nearby either. 😬

I have a 6 year old along with my 2 year old and we had another in December who just turned 2 months old today. I was so worried how my 2 year old was gonna handle not being the baby. Would she be jealous of him because she is such a mommy’s girl. But she absolutely loves her little brother and has from the first day. She wants to hold him and feed him and doesn’t like to share with big sister

I had my second in November so right after my
First turned 2. And man was it an adjustment and continues to be lol I also ended up having to have an emergency c-section this time around instead of natural and I think that made the adjustment period a little harder on all of us. My oldest is very independent and has never been a super clingy child to me as much as I wish he would’ve been lol so I think that helped with the jealously aspect. We also prepared him for the fact that a baby was coming my entire pregnancy and always involved him even though he didn’t quite understand what a baby brother meant. And once the baby came we have involved him and let him “help” in anyway he can. He absolutely has adored his baby brother from day one so we’re super lucky there. The only times he has a hard time is when I’m breastfeeding he suddenly becomes super buggy whenever the baby is eating. I think that’s because it’s attention the baby soley gets and he can’t. Or if I have the baby and I’m doing something for him and then my oldest wants something or needs me to do something and I can’t just instantly do it for him. You also have to have that balance of still giving the first one on one. I try my hardest to make sure he still gets my attention a significant amount it was really hard the first month with a baby feeding every few hours and recovering. And he didn’t understand that the baby needed me more than he did in those times and that was hard. Now that the baby is 8 weeks old we have much more of a “routine” as you close as you can get to one with a new baby haha truly though the adjustment with two little ones is not as hard as I imagined it to be when I was pregnant!! It’s mostly been such an exciting time, of course a little stressful some days but I love it. Totally didn’t mean to write a book but wanted to really explain how it’s been with 2 thus far! He’s mostly been great with the baby and is super proud of being a big brother!
