So my husband and I have been having some issues with his parents...they dont see my husband and I as our own family unit. They act like we are under their authority and cant make our own decisions. If we tell them anything they tell us all the things we are doing wrong and what they would do. And not to mention they are very in our face...wanna know every little detail. Well my parents live far away and I found out my mom cant take work off to come have a baby shower so I mentioned it to my MIL and shes being so passive aggressive because we just recently had a sit down chat with her and how my husband and I are our own people and we are gonna do what we wanna do...this isnt their baby. I'm not sure what the standard time is for a baby shower...how far in advance you have one. I'm due March 27th and I feel like I have NOTHING ready for the baby and I'm freaking out. My MIL hasnt mentioned a baby shower so now I'm worried I need to get everything myself. And I dont wanna ask about it cuz I dont wanna get crap for it. Been so stressful lately with all the family drama...my husband and I feel so out of it...him and I arent people anymore everyone just uses us to get to our baby. Like his sister is a complete Jackass...thats a whole other story but we decided to cut ties with her just cuz it wasnt healthy and now all of a sudden she wants a relationship...never ever texted for anything other than when she wanted something until I got pregnant....
