i hate bc, pregnancy is worse
when I was 17 I went on the pill in hopes it'd help with heavy periods and severe cramping, but I only had awful moodiness, bad acne, and weight gain. I stopped after some time and decided to stay off of birth control entirely...
until I finally started having sex, and ended up pregnant at 19 (happy accident!). I started using the patch and am--again--dealing with shitty side effects.
Pregnancy was absolute hell on me emotionally/mentally and physically, so I don't necessarily feel comfortable removing birth control from my life again...
but I need something that doesn't ruin my body and mood. I'm miserable.
Does anyone have any experience with noninvasive, potentially nonhormonal forms of birth control? I've been *considering* the copper IUD, and plan to discuss it more with my doctor soon...
