I’m five days pp, can i start breast feeding?

I tried breast feeding the first two days but babies latch wasn’t the best so it made my nipples sore. I’ve been giving her formula but I’d like to try again. Is it unlikely I’ll produce milk now or can i start up again?

Start. You might not produce enough or any at all at first or couple days but if you keep putting her on and letting her suck then your milk will come in. Try a nipple shield if you still have problems with latch, or better yet see a nursing consultant and they will most likely be able to help.

If baby is having a hard time latching see if baby has a tongue/lip tie. My girl had a tongue tie that had to be released. Try a nipple shield too! It was a life saver for us until she got it clipped

I’m not too sure but give it a try especially if you can express anything. Still takes my little awhile to get going on the boob. Sometimes takes 15-20 to get her latched proper.
