I was told to avoid using it - my midwife litterally said “you don’t want soft & supple nipples. If you want to breastfeed. You need tough nipples that can handle a beating.”
So.. I didn’t use it. And at the beginning my nipples were tender, but they never bled or cracked (until he got teeth and started biting. 😂)
I breast fed for 12 months. - my son self weaned. & I never had any issues.
