Is it necessary to have both an engagement ring 💍 and wedding band?

I am just curious if women nowadays wear both the 💍 and wedding band

It’s not necessary to have both at all if you don’t want to. You should have whatever is comfortable for you! I wear a silicone band because my ring set isn’t practical to wear day to day. I plan on getting a diamond band to wear daily because it’s more durable than my current ring and I like the simplicity and comfort of just a band. For now I love my silicone ring because I don’t even feel it! I never take it off.

My husband gave me my “engagement” ring back to my in our wedding day. I don’t even have a band. I found it unnecessary for us to buy a “wedding ring or wedding band”. But it’s your preference

I have both and wear both because I like them. But it's just my personal preference. I wouldn't judge anyone for doing otherwise. Hell, I have my engagement ring and wedding band I wear as a set and my silicone ring I wear in place of them when I'm at work.
