I have a 2 month and 18 day old girl. I am currently enrolled for a PhD, started end of 2016 (Nov 2019 is the end of the 3 year degree).

My leave of absence ends 2nd Feb but I've decided to push it to 2nd March.

I am so conflicted about wanting to finish but also don't want to leave my baby while so little. I would prefer to stay until she's at least 6 months because all we can do is day care as it's a much safer option than a nanny at this point.

Being a student I didn't get maternity leave just applied for an LOA, thankfully my husband has been very supportive financially for us.

The PhD is applied chemistry and I still have a lot of lab work to do. 😢😢
