Ovulating?? Or?

Ladies I need some input. So I got my period December 11-14. Had random brown discharge in the beginning of January in different days and on the 7th had a little bit of bleeding like barely anything and after that nothing. So idk if that was my period. I asked my doctor and she said it could have been one but then it couldn’t have been one so I just didn’t consider it as one since I barely bleed anything. So I’ve been taking ovulation tests since I’m trying for baby number 2, yesterday was my first day ever taking them and to my surprise they were positive but according to the app and from what I know I should’ve been done ovulating the 29th of last month. Today it says positive too. Is this normal? And are they even positive?
