I’ve been on Yaz for 2 months and I have been spotting for 2 weeks and then getting my period. I’m SO annoyed by this. Will it go away? Or should I switch pills?

I’ve been on bcp for 10 years. Got off for 4 years and became pregnant, delivered September 2018 and have gotten back on the pill. I literally have one week where I’m not spotting or bleeding and this is so frustrating and annoying.

They say it takes about 3 months for your body to fully adjust to a new form of hormonal contraception. Give it until the end of your third pack. If it’s still giving you trouble, discuss switching with your doctor.
Personally, I had shitty experiences with hormonal bc in general, to the point where I gave up and used condoms exclusively. Later on I found Natural Cycles - an app that uses your bbt to help you plan or prevent a pregnancy. When hubby and I are done TTC, we’ll be using that to prevent.
But if you find the pill in general to be right for you, keep in mind that it takes time for your body to adjust to the hormones, but also feel free to discuss any and all concerns about side effects with your doctor to help you find the pill that suits you best.
