Braylian Kurtis 1/20/19 7lbs 3oz &

21"

I had been having harder early labor pains about every 30-40 mins started late Thursday night and continued all day Friday. Saturday morning I woke up and told my fiance before he started work that he may not make it through his shift since he was working till 8pm. I could just tell by the way my body way feeling that it would be soon. Well made it thought his shift, while me and our daughter just watched movies, took a nap and I did 2 loads of laundry. We all laid down for bed 10-10:30 cause our daughter insisted on all snuggling together.

11pm I started having intense contractions 5-7 mins apart. I got up called my dad and grandma to come get or stay with our daughter (2.5yrs) and then my mom and stepdad to meet us at the hospital. I got the few last min things that were on the table into a bag and made sure my dad had enough pullups & a change of clothes. Woke my fiance up who was a little mad at first until he realized what I was saying. My dad got here around 12:30 took our daughter to their house. We left here about 12:50-1, both took 1 more potty and had 2 contractions on our way to the car. Got to the hospital and admitted at 1:31am and was at a 3.5-4cm dilated. We had a great nurse that got me all hooked up and started on fluids cause I wanted my epidural with how strong the contractions were plus back labor. Well we waited and while I was the only mom in the delivery ward, anesthesiologist got up there pretty fast and was just outside of the room mixing everything up, water broke and then from there thing sped up.

I went to having very strong and intense contractions every 2-3 mins apart. Anesthesiologist came in and I was turning to sit on the end of the bed got another contraction and nurse looks at me and the anesthesiologist and asks if I feel like I need to push, my response was trying not to. She said she had to check me before continuing I laid back and it is 2:30am and am 10cm and crowning. Our nurse says nope your having him now. My stepdad runs out of the room, nurse runs out the door screaming call the dr snd get in to help me. She tells while I'm contracting try not to push so I can get gloves on. Nothing was ready being I had just finished getting admitted. I start pushing and the nurse and my mom deliver/hold my legs while my fiance is at my head and hands. Nurse had to keep saying deep breathes in nose out mouth. Pushed about 6 contractions/10 minutes and he was here!!! The nurses then started getting Braylian to cry by rubbing his back and letting my mom clap the cord. Dr arrived about 2 mins after I delivered and he was just down 1 floor. Well he delivered the placenta and got everything all looked at and cleaned up. Turns out I have a very minor labial tear that dr didn't even stitch cause it wasn't bleeding and was so small. Gave me the choice but I didnt care.

So short story went into active labor at 11pm, check in at 1:30am, start pushing and Braylian was born @ 2:49am all natural and by our nurse. Birth didnt follow our plan but at least we are all healthy and here.

Funny thing is that our nurse kept saying how the night nurses have to deliver babies more often since the dr on call doesnt always get there in time since they dont have to be in the building. Afterwards, she looked at me and said you know I didnt mention that for u to actually be one of them, just came up in conversation.

Big sister loves him so much and he couldnt be a better baby! We love being home and all together.
