So, this is my 7th pregnancy, hopefully 6th healthy child, and I have learned from previous pregnancies I have what my midwife refers to as an over active uterus! Essentially, with my first I had a normal pregnancy, no Braxton Hicks, didn’t show much until 34+ weeks! With my second my uterus measured 20 cm at 15 wks and it was also then I began to have regular BH! With #3 my uterus measured 20cm at 13 wks and BH started at 12 wks! With my 4th my uterus was above my pelvis at 6 wks and I measured 20 cm at a whopping 8 wks! It was insane! Contractions also began around 8 wks! With my 5th I measured 20 cm around 10 wks and BH began around 9 wks! Now I have not been pregnant in almost 4 yrs (the farthest between kids) so I assumed my uterus wouldn’t be as quick to respond, I haven’t felt like my belly has grown, but I also hadn’t worn pants, until today!! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I put on a pair of pants that buttoned fine 6 wks ago and tonight I couldn’t button them! I did the hair band trick but it bumped against my uterus which apparently is sneaking above my pubic bone already which I hadn’t realized and it was so incredibly uncomfortable!! While I love my bump, I am jealous of women who don’t show so early! To measure on track, to not have ridiculous early and regular BH, to be able to wear regular pants until 20+ wks! Normally I get by wearing my regular pants I just leave them unbuttoned and have to wear a belly band over them to keep them up! My babies are generally average size and they end up getting in funky positions because they have so much room! And it maybe 30 wks before baby catches up with my uterus! It’s just insane!! All these bloated bumps are adorable, but seriously ladies enjoy being able to wear your pants!!
