Hypno birthing

Anyone heard about it? Has anyone tried it and could someone show me direction where to research and books and such before I go and talk to my midwife. My last birth and labor was so intense and lasted so long, I didn't dilate fast enough for my contractions and we were back to back. Ended up in forceps. I would like to avoid medication maybe if possible this time.. So I heard about hypno birthing. Obvious l am not condemning anyone who had epidural, it was a life saver with the last baby.. Would just like to have a different experience if possible xx
