There are a lot of factors that can play into this decision. Are you prepared to handle anything that comes along with sex? Are you in a position to care for a baby from an unplanned pregnancy or face the other outcomes? Are you able to care for yourself should anything be transmitted to you? How old are you and what are the laws where you live? If you are having to ask, it sounds like you’re still not quite ready. When you are, you’ll know. My first time was the worst. I agreed to it at first with that same mentality... I got there, changed my mind, he raped me anyways. I got pregnant, he tried to pressure me into abortion, and then I had a mc. At 14 years old. I’m not saying that will happen, but you have to take that into consideration. It is such a big step in your life. You wouldn’t let someone tell you who to marry would you? Don’t take this decision as any less, you are worth it. It is your decision ultimately, but losing it to someone special will make the transition easier. Sex is difficult the first time. It can be emotional. It can be painful.. sometimes it can be embarrassing. It’s your decision ultimately, but it sounds like you are being pressured.
