Ftm question

So my son is 4 weeks and some days and it seems like he’s only happy when he’s asleep , he cries and wiggles a lot if I carry him or if I lay him down . . I finally figured out he likes one of the many swings he has that makes an ultrasound noise and he falls asleep but when he wakes up he’s inconsolable it seems . . Is this normal or are babies that old suppose to be relaxed and not cry so much ??
