What do you ladies think? My family is old fashioned, they think the man should treat the woman to nights out every single time. She should never plan, or pay for anything essentially. My husband works his ass off, I do too, but I love to treat him to massages or a night away more often than he does for me (I don’t have a problem with this, this is how I express my love and appreciation!) Simply because he doesn’t have the time. That being said, do you ladies think it is unacceptable/inappropriate for the woman to treat the man to surprises more so than the other way around? Example, the woman surprises her man with lunch often, he does only sometimes or upon request. I think it’s just a matter of love language and expression, not the amount of love one has for another. Tell me your thoughts!

I guess I forgot to add this (which someone reminded me, thank you). In my personal example, he still shows me love, just in different ways than I do for him. I’m asking mainly what everyone’s thoughts are on different ways of expressing love.
