Increasing Milk Supply while Exclusively Pumping
Hello fellow mommies! So I’ve got quite the dilemma right now. To give you some background my son was born at the end of August 2018 (almost 5 months old). He had a tongue and lip tie which we had corrected but still ended up being unable to breastfeed him. We have resulted to bottle feeding pumped breastmilk. He currently drinks about 5-5.5oz every 2 1/2 to 3 hours and usually sleeps through the night. I try to pump every time he gets fed to keep my supply up but I’m currently only making about 3 to 4oz if I’m lucky. I’ve tried several things already to increase my supply but have had no luck. We’re kind of in a crisis at this point because he won’t drink formula. We’ve tried supplementing with formula to make up for what I can’t produce and he won’t drink it. I also am not planning on feeding him solids until 6 months. I’m hoping to get my supply back up so that I feed him for my goal of 18 months to 2 years. Any advice would be so so helpful! Thank you so much in advance! God bless ❤️
