My friend found my boyfriend on tinder. I’m trying to give him the benefit on the doubt because that’s how we met so he might have deleted the app but not his profile. We’ve been official for two months. How long does tinder show inactive profiles?

I haven’t used tinder but from people I know that have, if you delete the app but not your profile you will still show up when people swipe or whatever. I mean honestly just ask him about it. Maybe he just deleted the app and not his profile or considering this is a fairly new relationship he just has it still. Ask him! Did you both agree to get rid of tinder once you guys started dating?

Basically the more his profile is being swiped right the more the app is reading that this specific person deems a popular choice in the selected category:age,sex,location, and on the app itself. Whether the account is in use or not after all the app is free bc of ads which are posted after real accounts of real people and in order to encourage people to sign up attractive or popular profiles are what draw people in and make people stay and give the app money. 
So sure yes he may have deleted the app from his phone and not the account itself, but he also forgot to remove his profile from the deck from appearing as a choice for swipers or deactivating it from view entirely. 
Also, many people just assume deleting the app competes the job of deleting the profile automatically, unaware that after they’ve moved on from that phase that they’re account still lives on alone.
