Breech baby: how would you deliver?

Question

So, my baby is breech and unlikely to flip. I had a vaginal delivery and went into labor naturally with my first, so this is all new to me. 
The choices are to go into the OR at 39 weeks to attempt to flip the baby manually (cephalic version). If it works, I will get induced and hopefully deliver vaginally. If it doesn’t, I will have a cesarean. Alternatively, I can schedule an elective cesarean for 39 weeks. Going past 39 weeks is not an option and if my water breaks before 39 weeks I will have to undergo a cesarean due to the risk of cord prolapse. (My water broke at 38 weeks with my first).
What would you do? I guess the real question is when most doors lead to a cesarean, would you try the version or just go straight to the section?

I’d go with the first option considering that could lead to the type of labor & birth experience you want. 
But I’d also think of it as just getting baby in your arms safe & healthy.

I wouldn’t make your final decision till 36 weeks as baby can still flip up to that point, but it sounds like a hard boat to be in. I think I’d try the cephalic version, but from what I understand it can be pretty painful and not always successful.

My first pregnancy was like this. Ended up having the version  at 37 weeks I found it quite painful but it did work and delivered my daughter naturally at 40 weeks

I’m in the same boat as you. I plan to try to have them flip my son. I also am going to a chiropractor to start treatment with the Webster technique tomorrow to try and encourage baby boy to flip.

My babe was breech at 28 weeks and at almost 31 weeks I'm 90% sure she still is 😅
I'm 4'9 and won't put the risk of my child over having a C-section, so cut me open and get that babe out if they have to 😂😅 
My first was vaginal, and I'd love to do that again but I'm not going to put any extra stress on my girl. 
I'm too narrow and short for that 😂😅 
I have an ultrasound on February 5th around 33 weeks. 
I won't make any final decisions until I'm like 36 or 37 weeks and just hope that she flips, but if not oh well.

At my 32 week ultrasound my baby was breech I have an appointment next week at 34 weeks if my baby is still breech my doctor wants to schedule a c-section day I’m praying he goes head down before my appointment

My third son was transverse and I had the option to try and turn him but after looking into it I decided against it as it puts stress on the baby and can end in a emergency c section anyways and hurts like no other for mum. I got lucky and he ended up head down at my ultrasound at 37 weeks and was induced the next day.

I would do anything I can do avoid a c section, but you should still be able to give birth if the baby is breach.. my midwife said that she has delivered plenty of breach babies. But you should try chiropractic care as soon as today. Adjusting your pelvis might help the baby get into a more favorable position. I would try chiropractic before going to the hospital to try manually flipping it.

Baby can still turn the day before any contractions even start. They can even turn the day your in labour. I wouldn’t be worrying until your in labour x
