How do you know when your having contractions will it just hurt like hell

I had back labor so it was likey lower back got hella tight and it hurt hella bad. You'll just know, like everyone says, as unhelpful as that is

Mine felt like period cramps at first, then after about 4 hours they got much more painful. It was like a terrible cramp would come out of nowhere (like not gradually) then fade away. They took my breath away, that’s for sure!

No it won’t, at least not at first. It’ll feel like an overall tightening- May start around your stomach or uterus. Pain is subjective though so it may in fact just hurt like hell to you from the beginning.

It feels like period cramps. For me they start up high like under my ribs and work their way down.
