When to stop working...

Question

So I know you can work up until the due date but I drive an hour to work everyday. I’m a nanny so I have an easy enough job that I would be able to go until I have the baby, but I’m concerned about going into labor while I’m work  being so far away. I’m planning on giving birth at a birthing center. At what week would y’all recommend I stop working?

Labor doesn’t usually happen like the movies. You’ll start to have some early labor symptoms that you can watch for. I wouldn’t be too worried about being an hour away.  We live 40 mins from our hospital.

Honestly if you're able to I'd say go until you give birth. If this is your first there's a good chance your labor will be slow so you'd be able to get to your birthing center
