My SO's grandma has severe dementia, so bad she is hallucinating her dead husband. She is having full on conversations with him, she is seeing him with a girlfriend. She is living in a special home, she cannot have any sort of sharp objects she cannot even have her husband ashes due to what she could do etc etc. It's at its worst. Now she doesnt even remember my SO and I have a son who is 9 months old, we were discussing when we go see her that we both wouldnt feel comfortable holding him. Are we in the wrong? I especially just dont want her to drop him or him to topple over or anything because she is severely in a bad way. 😩 but I dont want to deny her from holding him but we both think it's a bad idea even with her sitting down. When I say her dementia is bad I mean it's really bad. 😭
