PMS vs Pregnancy Signs

On month 7 TTC and I'm experiencing all the early signs of pregnancy.. including spotting (which never happens). I'm supposed to start my period this week but really want to take a pregnancy test. Is it too soon to take one? I have been disappointed each month with the big fat negative so am afraid to but something feels different this time. Could all just be in my head 😭
