I’ve been getting period cramps even when i’m not on my period. Is this normal? I’ve had my period for about four years now and they’re still quite irregular even on my birth control pills. like i’ll get my period while taking the active pill. please help!

also i went to my gyno and she gave me new pills ive been on them for about 5 months now and nothing’s changed. She said to keep taking them and my period and symptoms will level out and become regular. Should i get a second opinion?
