Is vaginal irritation from sex normal?

My partner and I have had sex about three days in a row. Last night I noticed that my smell (and taste) was off. Not necessarily bad, just different and unusual. I was also quite swollen. There was also some blood on the condom, but I’m also within a few days of period so we aren’t sure if it’s spotting or irritation bleeding. And I am peeing almost immediately after every time we have sex. I’m also unsure of whether the smell and taste is just from where I am in my cycle or not.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is it normal for frequent sex to throw off these types of things, mostly regarding scent? Thank you for your responses!
