The other day I was watching the show “YOU” 
My BF made a comment saying “If you ever cheated, I’d kill you too” 
Then kinda laughed it off like it was a joke... 
But that made me uncomfortable to hear.. 
He’s made comments like that before but about killing the guy if I ever cheated..

It was probably meant as a joke. I’ve said that to my husband before and I would definitely never kill him or the person he cheated with.

I would tell him that you wouldn't kill him if he cheated. You would just leave, because he obviously isn't the person you thought he was. And then see how he responds.

If there aren’t any other red flags I would just bring it up and tell him it makes you super uncomfortable when he makes jokes like that. That statistically he’s the most likely person to actually kill you and it’s only a joke if both of you are laughing so please don’t joke about domestic violence again. 
If this is in a series of red flags, reconsider being with someone who has admitted they would hurt you if you gave them an excuse.
