When did you share the news with your families!?

This is my first pregnancy! I found out yesterday that I am about 5wk2days I am so overwhelmed with emotions and anxiety that something will happen and I’ll lose it... at the same time I want to tell everyone!! I obviously want to wait till much further along to let most people know but when is a good time to tell close immediate family? My SO wants to wait but I want to share the news soon 😊

We are super super close with both of our families and they knew we were trying so we told them like the day after I got my positive test at around 4 weeks.

With #1 we told them at 13 weeks. This time we’re telling my parents and brother at 9 weeks because they live across the country and I had already booked a flight to see them. I want to be able to tell them in person this time vs FaceTime. We’ll tell my in laws and close friends at 12 weeks. My in laws can’t hold water and will tell the mailman, next door neighbor, and church congregation within 24 hours of finding out.

We told our parents/ siblings a couple hours later. It was Christmas Day we didn’t wanna waste that opportunity haha

I’m waiting until the 12w mark to tell my family. I don’t want to risk the chance of a miscarriage bc they’re not supportive at all

We told family and friends we’re close to right away. We’re so excited and want to enjoy this moment. If something were to happen these would be the people I would run to for comfort as well. Don’t overthink it and enjoy the moment! 🥰

We told both of our parents at about 7 weeks, then told our sisters/brothers at 11 weeks, then everyone else after 13 weeks. We didn’t do a social media announcement. Told my work at 16 weeks. 
Everyone’s different but I liked to leave it a bit later since I wasn’t really showing at all anyway. 
Currently pregnant with #2 and we will probably tell our parents in the next few weeks, but everyone else will depend on how soon my tummy grows 😂

We each told a friend but are otherwise waiting until 12 weeks. It's tough! I have this app though, and my husband drives Uber and he tells everyone all day long 😆

First pregnancy: after my first ultrasound @ 8 weeks. Second Pregnancy: after my first ultrasound @ 6 weeks.... but then I miscarried. This time I will be waiting until 12 weeks just to be sure. 🤞🎉
