Ok so I’m getting closer to my due date and I really want to start my maternity leave early cause I want to completely clean my house before baby gets here but how do I go about it. I have all my Fmla papers for my dr to fill out but do I have to ask him about when I can start maternity leave or tell him? I really want to be out 1 to 2 weeks before baby’s due date. Cause tbh I don’t plan on coming back to work afterwards. My job has not treated me the best throughout this pregnancy and I’m only doing this in case I need to come back so I can stay in good graces with my job. I’ve already told them I might not be coming back but didn’t say why and they are fine with that but I still have to go through fmla so I can get paid my last bonuses and my vacation/sick time. I just want to know how to go about getting off for maternity leave early.
